Ok for all of you badge lovers heres a way to get a free badge from Pogo. (I did this on both of my accounts, and will be doing it on my wifes account soon.)

*Go to "My account"
*Change e-mail addy to a UK one
*Click on "billing info."
*Click "remove Billing info"
*Are you sure screen comes up click "remove"
*Sign out of Pogo
*Click on sign in
*Click on UK flag
*Click on Founders club "Find out more"
*Click "Submit"
*click on "Get your badge"
Now you have a new badge, log out, click on the US/Canada flag and then reenter your info (E-mail and Billing) and enjoy your free badge!

You can either search for one on Google- type in free UK e-mail or you can go to this site http://www.yupea.co.uk/ one last option is Yahoo.uk

I didnt change my email, but I was able to get the badge on Tuesday.

I clicked for the 30 gems, they said I got credit for them, but I never did.

Duh my bad I was looking at something different lol Thank You for telling again I just needed to scroll further down the page also for those of you who couldn't get your gems at the bottom of the page it says this

I was just able to get my badge but when I tried to get the badge for my sons account I got the same message hmm that's weird that it worked for one account and not the other

I totally changed my billing info and my email addy to valid UK stuff (before i found out I didn't need to

I got the badge, but it did not give me gems.

yeah, as a test I logged in to the UK and went thru the badge deal, and got the UK badge without a UK email.

I didn't change my email addie, I guess hotmail is pretty universal... did get the badge, and although it said I got the gems, I didn't.

Make sure you click on the top CLICK HERE. Not the one under where is says GET YOUR GIFTS.

I'm not going for this; seems like too much trouble and could maybe be a TOS violation if Pogo got nit-picky.

You do NOT need to change your addy to a UK one. Just sign into the UK site, scroll down till you see UK Founders Site on the left and click on find out more. Then click here for your badge. It's the same thing as was done for the Hangman tokens. I can't see it being against TOS.

i don't think this is a violation of anything. it's not like one pays extra for pogoUK; it's part-and-parcel of the entire site. packaging it this way for pogo allows them to skirt all those nasty commerce and taxation laws that have stymied prizes and gems overseas. everyone has access to it, you don't need a separate account to do so.

i could see where folks from the Island living here in the states (or elsewhere) might like to use the pogoUK version just for the familiarity of language, etc. it's just another option as it see it. if they wanted the sites separate, they certainly would have found a way to keep them thus.

if your not a uk user then i would not bother because is all your doing is exploiting the account to get the gems and badge which is against pogos TOS. Pogo users here who have had their account for years could possibly not imagine losing their account.

but it's all the same account. you don't need to create a different account to get them, you just need to switch versions. that's not exploitation. i didn't need to do anything different and as i said before, if they didn't want people to be able to do so, it would have been extremely easy for them to make pogoUK inaccessible to anyone other than pogoUK members.

if anyone is overly concerned, they might try penning a letter to the editor.

I would like to also point out, many UK users have changed to US info to gain gems. This is what I would call 'backwards compatible'.

The original post is from the end of September, we are now in November... and if you look up a couple of posts, others have said thats its too late to get the badge
