There was a blacksmith on my way to school back in the 50's and I spent many hours there after classes, learning how to use a hoof pick and check the condition of shoes. Now, with horses of my own, I use those old skills. And since I've let my hair grow long since retiring, my two girls love to nibble my ponytail.
