     Congratulations Mel for being in the PA Spotlight!!!

Thank you everyone for your kind words, I'm really not pretty at all and my make up was smeared pretty hard especially under my eyes.  Matthew was about a week old or so in that picture and I had my hair up in a clip and every time for the first two weeks at least when I went over to visit I cried, can't and couldn't help it.  
To be honest, I had my first son when I was really young but at least he waited until he was in his twenties before he had his first son.  I wouldn't change it for the world though!!  I've always tried to teach my kids to wait to have kids of their own when they are established, with a job, house, car etc... when Brian found out they were having a baby, he went out and bought a house, got rid of his truck and bought a car and has been at the same job since before he graduated, he has settled down a lot.  I couldn't be more proud him or my other two son's and my grandson

 I loved reading your spotlight interview Mel.
I think we all are sharing your joy about your grandson!
When I saw the "when a child is born, so is a grama" icon,
I actually thought "Oh, Mel would LOVE this!" ...and
snagged it right up...... and right then my daughter called
and put my 8 month old grandson on the line, and I had
to just keep it for myself!!! But, feel free to snag it too!

And just so you will get a good laugh.........
I had SUCH a different picture in my head about
you..your life, your looks, etc. In my head
you were like...a cool, sophisticated, modern
careerish type woman........ don't know why,
perhaps your siggies..or your beautiful print you
use in the forum. Then I saw you and read the
interview and I just smiled through the whole
thing. I found a lovely, woman who loves to
cross stitch and is just STILL cool and sophisticated
and all those things I thought, but with a down home spin!
